Piers Morgan leaves Good Morning Britain

They'll find someone, he's nothing special, just another opinionated arsehole shouting over everyone he interviews.
Your description of him, I couldn't agree more with.
As for finding someone, unless it's another similar to him, it will fail.
Then again, someone like him also wouldn't last, as the station has gone along
with the minority of opinion, so it's goodnight Vienna either way.
All conjecture at this early stage, but I'm willing to bet on it.

Ok if the shareholders are perfectly happy with tanking views and advertisement sales they must know of a presenter that'll reel millions in,
waiting in the wings.
I detest Morgan, but this show was successful, not as many viewers as the Beeb, but relatively so, and it was all because of him, prior to him it wasn't.
Morning TV is probably not his bag but Paxman would do a decent job on there. He'd fill the hole in terms of being able to put pressure on politicians with difficult questions in the same way Morgan did but he'd do it better and without being a shouty bastard and coming across as a bullying ****.

Morgan is personally responsible for much of Gazza’s decline. He had his lackeys at the Mirror hacking Gascoigne’s phone for years, which exacerbated his paranoia and mental heath issues and also affected his trust in and personal relationships with his family and support network, who he perhaps understandably accused of selling stories to the press.
Like his counterpart at the Sun, Rebekah Brooks, Morgan is vermin who should have done prison time rather than the underlings who they threw under the bus for carrying out their instructions. Just like the City Slickers case.
Completely agree.

Yes I agree, Paxman would be a good choice, but he's retired now, I think.
Then again, the show is generally lightweight trivial shit, when the shouty
bits are not in play, so I doubt he'd want to put his name to it.
