That Marina is talking shite, towns and villages will be coming together as communities to celebrate tomorrow and most are onboard with it.
It’s a good week for us to enjoy ourselves and to party with our neighbours.

Not much happened around here tbh - just a few desultory chairs in a cul de sac - no bunting no cakes ergo it is NOT a party

Whether you dislike the monarchy or not, it’s a good chance for communities to come together and enjoy ourselves, which is definitely not a waste of money.
Shame that your road/town doesn’t have much going on, get yourself to somewhere that does!

She's bang on the money.
Neither of them could say what she actually does, and what benefit she has.
70 years of hosting parties and events for other wealthy people, trips abroad with more parties and events with wealthy people, and rocking up to the odd charity to show you care.
Having to collect flowers from, and listen to plebs gathered outside said parties and events, is probably the hardest part.
What dedication to the country, takes a unique person to be able to do that.
As for a calming voice, isn't that the point of Joanna Lumley.

Not so sure, some people don't have a "deep down", everything is either ingrained and impervious to logic or change, or airhead superficial with nothing underneath.
