Pitch invasions

No, the Police didn't handle the invasion, they moved in front of the away end. While they did that, the pitch invasion happened to the left and right of them.
From what i saw the police moved infront of the dug outs/tunnel (maybe some infront of the away end).

The police were around the tunnel and a few other area, as well. It was reported ahead of the match that more police were allocated because of the potential invasion.

Not like they had better things to do, of course.
Why wouldn't they be around the tunnel? They're always around the tunnel u know to stop fans going inside the dressing rooms.

Deary me.

Drag it out.....The tunnel is always protected. Watch what the police did again in front of the away end. You obviously didn't or you weren't at the match. Their remit was to guard the away end which was half empty when they formed a corden around it. Nothing else.

People get hurt, pitch and equipment gets damaged, players are forced off the pitch, more police are called for crowd control (not like we have poor staffing there, of course), the club get fined, and other issues occur.

To act as if there are no real consequences is being either wholly ignorant or wilfully disingenuous.

It is no way like what is going on with Cheesy.

I don't think I am being wholly ignorant or wilfully disingenuous tbh, at least no more than you are being condescending, inflexible and ever so pc-wokey. So we should probably just agree to disagree then.

…you understand my point was about police resources being uncessarily used, right?

What is the point you are trying to make?

That it is fine the fans ignored the clubs wishes, caused damage and trouble for the club, all for some Internet fame?

Been quite a few pitch invasions down the years in celebration of various achievements for many teams.

Hardly ever does anyone have a problem with it. Unless its city apparently… some of our fans need to smell the coffee

Draw your own conclusions…..

Not really bothered by the initial invasion, it's all in good spirit, but those who dragged it out were taking the piss a bit. Like, have your fun but remember it's not all about you, get in and get out like the majority who do it for a laugh.
This. That bloke in the striped T shirt was boiling my piss. 99% were ok but always a few that can’t help themselves.

Jesus!

The Police were always going to attend he match.

Once again, the Police didn't try to stop the pitch invasion. 20-30 of them stood infront of the away end.

On Wednesday before the CL game they were confiscating smokies outside the main stand.

They were already fucking used u melt they were at the ground we didn't magically make them appear.
MORE police were allocated to the ground specifically because of the worry of the pitch invasion. The bellends advocating for it ahead of time caused them to be there.

People ignored the clubs wishes and did something that has negative consequences for the club (and likely people that had nothing to do with the invasion).

Everything else is just juvenile rationalisation for stupid behaviour.

You sound like a lot of fun at parties.

And my point was MORE police were allocated because of the threat of a stupid invasion than would otherwise be needed.

Are you not reading the posts you are responding to or you just wilfully ignoring my point to argue some other point I am not making?
