Pitch invasions

The club has a few options:
1) Give plenty of warning then identify and ban the fuckers who invade the pitch.
2) Accept it's going to happen as it has done for many years.
3) A hybrid of the above - Allow fans onto the pitch but only after the last player has left the pitch or is inside the police/steward cordon; ban the ones who invade earlier.
From memory it took longer to build the bloody presentation stage than it did to clear the pitch yesterday.

They do.

But as I keep on pointing out, the club didn't try to stop the pitch invasion, instead they decided to manage it and to let it run it's course, which the club did very successfully. Whether that was done on purpose for a reason we shall see in the coming days.

You can’t stop few thousand fans running on the pitch so of course city were going to have a plan to manage it! They did warn fans not to go on the pitch! Personally don’t give a toss how many run on the pitch but eventually the club will start warning fans that they will be banning them for life!

I got some great pictures and a video of me doing some topless pullups on the cross bar. It's memories like these I can share with my kids when they grow up.
you learnt nothing last year from when the goal posts got completely ruined?

go on the pitch fine, what's the need in dicking about climbing all over the nets

needs :-) to show intended irony. Or maybe not?

I'm pretty sure @SSL2 got whooshed there.

How do you ban 10,000 people though? Chances are the club might not be able to identify a lot of them as well

Other than the Grealish lookalike

Was fairly ambivalent to it. Went on myself after Aguero but not since. Think only other times i have been on the pitch maybe Wigan and Roger Palmers testimonial at Oldham.

Some real dickheads though sliding and taking selfies.

from the fa cup early rounds, to the likes of wrexham being promoted, there are many pitch invasions over a season.

Are these ok or should they have deductions and punishments ?

Seems funny how there are so many tantrums over pitch invasions at city yet at wrexham its "wow what a night"

and i dont accept that bigger clubs should have more responsibility, according to most we arent much bigger that wrexham anyhow !

Wrexham is their aguero moment , i dont mind those and i doubt the club told the crowd not to do it and had also not already been fined quarter of a mill before and will again

Reading many posts on here it seems that the two sections are too far apart for there to be any agreement. But I do think the club will issue some bans after repeatedly asking fans not to go on the pitch. They may just identify random individuals or the one's who were first on the pitch but I think to appease, whoever issues any fine they will take action by issuing bans. Of course I could be completely wrong and the club may just laugh the pitch invasion off and pay any fine that comes because of it, but I doubt it. Myself I was in the east stand 2 and after sitting in that heat for the full match so when the invasion started I and many around left knowing that we would be there for another hour and had no desire to sit another hour in that heat. If nobody had gone on the pitch and everything regarding the presentation could have started immediately after the final whistle I would have stayed.

Should have just sent the police dogs on the pitch then these adults and kids doing embarrassing knee slides for social media would have soon fucked off. There were plenty of tourists on there getting group photos from different angles etc. And what is the point of the stewards if they just stand aside and let people on. What's the point of them? It wouldn't surprise me if the club banned some people just to make a point for future and to show the PL that they tried to stop it.
