Funny that the announcement comes on the day the " Government no longer unveiling plans for a football regulator this week - announcement delayed."
Th PL want to show there is no need for one, trying to avoid having to answer to an independent body?

Well, that says to me the EFL won’t be regulated. Therefore, the corrupt 9 have said get the charges out to city.
Hence the comment on city statement about someone independent would be welcome to investigate.
That sounds like a worry but city will argue it has to be independent investigation given the 9 club’s wanting a kangaroo court
