PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

The baying mob has been enlivened by the recent ruling by the PL with regards to Everton. The stupids are speculating what will happen to City mostly based on no knowledge.

Interesting thought though, if City were guilty or there was at least a small chance we were going to receive a heavy sanction I would expect the following to have happened or be happening...

1. Haaland would not have signed for us.
2. Haaland would have asked to leave.
3. As above for other players.
4. Pep would have left.
5. Sponsors would be running for the hills.
6. We would have put stadium investment on hold.
7. Our performances would have dropped off.

In reality, the complete opposite has happened. Ignore the stupids on social media. Look at what's happening at City. City know what they have done in the past and what they going to do in the future. I believe in these guys, not some numb skulls on social media desperate for more likes and more followers.

Come on City!
i was thinking this the other day. Surely the first thing any new players and agents must ask when they are signing for us is what’s happening with all this bullshit and want assurances that we’re in the clear. If not then I’m sure they’d run a mile. The world of football is small. They would have spoken to other players agents etc and we’d be avoided like the plague!

I thought it was a legal requirement for companies to report any evidence of fraud discovered to the police? So if the PL believe they have the evidence why has it not been raised formally to the authorities?

In no way is this fun.

This witch hunt against us is big news at the moment because of the Everton situation. But we’ve had this in the background for too long and with no end in sight. What other supporters have had to put up with sort of thing for so long?

We all know the end game is to try and help the istree teams in red but that doesn’t help. Life is unfair and whilst we know their actions go unpunished we are left in limbo.

Our owners have been brilliant for us and I appreciate that with legal matters you can’t say a lot. I also appreciate that cowards like Harris are best ignored.

But when is enough enough? This attitude of saying nothing is just leaving us open to attack. Yes you could say look at the trophies but we are in a vulnerable position where non sporting matters are harming us.

I don’t claim to have any answers but unless our owners start fighting back either in the media or in the courts this is going to go on and on.
I've gone full circle with this one.

During the post "project" phase that every man and his dog mocked and ridiculed the media eventually started to sit up and take notice.

Following Mancini and the club's first premier league title the history Red tops started panicking.

FFP was brought in for one reason and one reason alone. It's no coincidence that club's like the rags, dippers and tarquins were behind it. Their historical top four slots were under threat.

After the amazing success this club has achieved over the past ten to fifteen years the premier league has gone into meltdown.

The lack of recognition and the dog abuse we get from the historical top four clubs the British Press and the broadcasting media is relentless. I wanted the Sheikh to go medieval with these other clubs and the media.

However, I've come to realise he's actually doing a much better head fuck with them. Our year on year success and trophy tally is literally driving everyone of the motherfuckers slowly insane.

Essentially as CAS found.

@Prestwich_Blue really helped unravel this mess with his superb summary in that podcast.

To be honest, when fans see a generic list of PL rules consisting of acronyms like "Rule A 4.6.7" & it's not specific to what City are being accused of, it's a massive switch off, hence why so few understand what's happening outside of clickbait headlines.

Colin brilliantly broke it down which enabled me to finally fully understand our situation, enabling me to research it further.

My head fuckin hurts with all the reading & studying over the last 24 hours, but as they say "To be fore-warned is to be fore-armed".

Cutting to the chase, I believe if our fate is left up to the PL's Appeal Panel, we're seriously fucked!

HOWEVER, once IREF is created to oversee UK football, I honestly believe these charges will be dismissed.

It will essentially be UK Law vs the PL's private members club Rules. UK Law wins every time & football will finally be run in line with all other UK business sectors, & not for the benefit of ManUre, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spuds & poor old Everton, who are one of the five founding members of the PL, who've now been defenestrated by the other four founding member's attempts to finally stop the march of Manchester City.

It's like a fuckin episode of Stop The Pigeon, with us being the bird!

The simple matter is that a modern Prem without its marquee club becomes massively devalued causing substantial damage, both monetarily and in terms of the product. City are an enormous brand at this point, the reigning European and Prem League champions. It may not be a big deal in England or even Europe but the Club World Cup will bring even more exposure in South America, North Africa, and the Middle East. The Prem simply can't afford to drop City in the here and now. That ship has long sailed. Anyone with a modicum of business sense knows that's not going to happen.
Also, anyone who thinks SM is going to stand by and watch what he's built be laid to waste by some trumped up charges brought forth by a small group of narrow minded, self serving owners while at the same time be embarrassed and humiliated in front of the entire world is simply delusional. All this conjecture is actually nonsensical when looked at from a reality point of view. It's all a big show to put a drag on our popularity and growing brand that in the end will amount to nothing. Bet that!!!! CADED...

Exactly...let them choke on their bile as we keep winning and growing...City are now the masters of their own destiny, simple as...

I was thinking this the other day. Surely

That's my thinking too. I am sure all potential new players will receive some form of briefing from City about the charges and have to sign a non disclosure agreement. Pep is the key barometer for me. He's stuck around and when the PL charges were announced he became more committed to the club. That's not what the history clubs were expecting. They hoped we'd implode once the charges were announced.

This is Everton we are talking about? Of course it could relegate them. Despite the bluster, they are shit and have been flirting with relent for years.

No guarantee they charged will galvanise them. It will be an interesting watch either way.
They are 2 points from safety...they won't need much galvanizing...
