PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I don't think the motive needs to be proven because the rules simply say you've got to disclose all remuneration to the PL. The bit the PL would need to prove would be "was this 1.7m a year from Al Jazira actually remuneration for being Manchester City manager?".

How would you prove that? I suppose you'd want to -

a) Show how ludicrously low Mancini's official salary was compared to Hughes, Pellegrini and other managers in the PL in 2009.

b) Show a clear flow of payments from City to Al Jazira to Mancini.

c) Show Mancini never actually went to Al Jazira to do the work he was being paid for.

d) Show how paying Mancini via a tax haven saved City enough money to be important. For Mancini to take home an extra £1.7m a year would have cost City about another £4m+ p/a if paid in the UK.

However, to do that you'd need a lot of information from Al Jazira like bank records, and Mancini's travel schedule and I don't think the PL can access that.
If Al Jazira say they were happy that Mancini completed his contract with them isn't that the end of it?

Just looked up the definition of sustainability,
"The ability to be maintained at a certain rate or level"
The rags have well and truly nailed that one with their debt.

The point that is deliberately overlooked is that united's level of debt is only "sustainable" if their income continues to include Champions League football. Without it, match, tv, gate and sponsorship income all plummet and, as we've seen, they are already losing money. That's why, by hook or by crook, they will be in the CL next year.

I couldn’t make Saturday. It did sound flat on the telly in parts. I don’t know if the constant media attacks on us are anything to do with it maybe they are. They’re all having a field day once again calling out our fanbase. We need to use this as fuel to show the fuckers how good we are. When were on it were the best around no question. Madrid at home last season was how good we can be. Pep knows this and he’s just giving us a nudge I reckon

I'm happy to be proven wrong, but has the mayor of Manchester been as vocal at any point regarding City's treatment?

I get that he's a Scouser but a hugely successful football team in the city which he governs over is a big thing (massive, some might say).

This scouse **** can fuck right off.

Not heard a fucking peep out of him re City.

The complete and utter shithouse.

Surely yesterday's F1 in Abu Dhabi has been commented on by messieurs Delooney and Nostrils Harris, I expect they was tweeting like no tomorrow at the sportswashing going on in F1?

No? Nothing? Oh what a fuckin surprise.
They don't care about the UAE just about City. They are lying hypocrites.
