He’s an experienced Senior Executive acting in a Non-Exec Director capacity giving an interview to the London Times. If I’m recalling correctly, he is close to and trusted by Khaldoon himself. I think you’re doing him huge disservice suggesting he’d make an overtly positive statement based on tittle-tattle from “colleagues”. In terms of Corporate Governance, CFG could have a “Risk Committee” looking at the case and receiving reports; it’s perfectly feasible for a Non-Exec to be involved.I mean I’ve been on the other side of the world for a month so thought maybe I’d missed something but as you say, just social media nonsense.
The only thing I would say is even 1% relevant is Galassi due to his board position but unfortunately the number of people involved in the process within the club will be in the single digits and he certainly won’t be one of them so his confidence will derive from his colleagues telling him they’ve done nothing wrong.
With this particular matter, whenever a silver lining appears, you do seem desperate to find a cloud !
