PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I mean I’ve been on the other side of the world for a month so thought maybe I’d missed something but as you say, just social media nonsense.

The only thing I would say is even 1% relevant is Galassi due to his board position but unfortunately the number of people involved in the process within the club will be in the single digits and he certainly won’t be one of them so his confidence will derive from his colleagues telling him they’ve done nothing wrong.
He’s an experienced Senior Executive acting in a Non-Exec Director capacity giving an interview to the London Times. If I’m recalling correctly, he is close to and trusted by Khaldoon himself. I think you’re doing him huge disservice suggesting he’d make an overtly positive statement based on tittle-tattle from “colleagues”. In terms of Corporate Governance, CFG could have a “Risk Committee” looking at the case and receiving reports; it’s perfectly feasible for a Non-Exec to be involved.
With this particular matter, whenever a silver lining appears, you do seem desperate to find a cloud !

Having spent a depressing amount of my life in board meetings, as I suspect is the same for you HCU, at best they’re getting a 5 minute rundown from Cliff for the CFG combined to make more time for something from the Waitrose finest collection.

I’d be shocked if the NED’s know anymore about the case than most people on here do as ultimately it’s not relevant for them.
They probably know far more than you or I do.
The difference being that unlike you,I don't pretend to know.

Often trusted NED’s can be involved in Risk and Reputational matters because of the external perspective they bring.

I guess it would have been hard for City to quantify how much we had lost as a direct result of the hacking. DId we know how many players they signed that we would have? Any? How much did they benefit/we lose by losing out by them having the same data as us?

Suspect it was down to a simple agreement to move on for a price...

It does not matter if the damage was little, The crime itself was done to benefit Liverpool FC,
Why does Liverpool always dodge the bullet, Manchester City should have taken them to the cleaners, Because if the shoe was on the other foot mark my words Manchester City would be Punished heavily and even relegation would have fitted the crime

Because all other football forums are a safe heaven of reasoned debate and gentlemanly behavior. And as for Twitter...well, it's the last vestige of the sane.
It's a very good point.
Only the other day someone posted a screenshot from rawk of someone wanting the ira to blow up our stadium.
Though I don't think he was angry so that's OK ; )

Equally, slander is not necessarily just spoken defamation. For example if I wrote incorrectly "xxxxx is a paedo and a thief" in the snow because the snow would melt and leave no permanent record it would be classed as slander. (Courtesy of my 6th form General Studies programme back in the day).

it would depend on who's hand had written in the snow hahahaha
