Depends on what criteria he's using, really. If we're talking about how easy on the eye the team was, then the Centurions side would certainly be up there. But if you're talking "show us your medals"; well, you can't argue with a treble. That 2023 team can certainly be seen as the best ever City team; even better than the Wembley '99 bunch!

Another obvious tactic the anti city MSM are using is based on the old saying “the only thing worse than people talking about you,is people not talking about you”
Two of the worse culprits of this are unsurprisingly two of the usual suspects…Talkshite and the Mail Online.
Just go to the Talkshite YouTube page and click on the videos section,now make sure it’s refreshed…now scroll very slowly..literally not one story about city,now taking into account we’ve been the dominant team in England over the last decade…how can there be so little about us…keep scrolling,ah after 113 videos there’s a video about oasis(more about the reunion than about city)and there it is the 115thish lol video about city…..and guess what the subject is………………..yep EXACTLY…
the other example is The Mail online….you can scroll through the sports section endlessly and you might get the odd story,but nothing like there should be for a side that’s dominated English football for a decade…but that **** Ian Herbert usually does an opinion piece about us once a week……..usually about the 115…..and it’ll stay on the site for months pretty high up.
Back to Talkshite look at their lineup of pundits,they’ve got fans of the rags,dippers,tarquins,Chelsea,Forrest,villa,Newcastle,spuds,Ipswich,peterborough,palace,Celtic,rangers even fucking Birmingham city for fuck sake…the only actual city fan pundit they employed was Trevor Sinclair who actually was decent..always sticking up for us when he was the Tuesday pundit on that ****(white) and ****(Jordan) morning show…but he foolishly gave them a chance to sack him over a misjudged tweet and he’s currently floating around in the phantom zone….
Actually there is ONE city supporting pundit who occasionally and I do mean OCCASIONALLY sometimes gets a gig on that **** of a station Natalie Pike….
They employed fucking YouTubers to have shows lol…Goldbridge,that no it all twat Rory Jennings and some rag tosspot called flex…..
There is definitely a ploy to starve city of any exposure unless it’s negative(usually 115 based)….but hey…if anyone pointed this out to them anywhere else other than this forum….it’d be YOU'VE GOT NO FANS,SMALL CLUB,CHEATS etc

Most City stories such as they are published are negatively slanted e.g " bad news for Pep '.

I also hope when the verdict comes that it is more emphatic than 'case was not adequately established' and addresses the email points usually thrown at us head on whether because they were doctored or whatever else they find to be the explanation behind them.

I guess that may be asking too much because it takes away the smear which was the whole idea in the first place.

When we wasn't competing did we vent our frustrations? Did we throw our season tickets onto the pitch? Did we protest our ownerships. Too fucking right we did and it is with rose tinted specs people look back at them times. If you don't think we should compete whilst being one of the richest clubs in the world, with the best manager and some of the best players in the world then you are as small time as the rest. Being shit in the 90s doesn't mean we accept dropped levels today, completely irrelevant. I fully expect to compete, I do not expect we win but to simply serve up better than last seasons mess.

I don’t think we are ever going to be on the same page here, maybe we should just respectively agree to disagree. Statements like “I fully expect to compete” don’t sit well with me, I have heard United and Liverpool supporters saying words to that effect. Having the best resources and manager is great but football is cyclic and you often don’t get the sum of the parts on the pitch.

Of course we vented our frustrations, that’s part of the game, success means more with failure.

Them days are long gone now though. Pellers not winning that award after winning the league cup too, missing out to Pullis I believe for his half a season and then Jose won the same the next year and bagged the award. It felt calculated during them years but it absolutely isn't now.

That ELO table ‘IS’ shite and you know it is. On this occasion, I do know better.
The OPTA power rankings is more realistic as it’s based on last season, though I’d argue PSG should be top, certainly above Arsenal

They were top, very briefly, but Chelsea killed them. We were top for about 2 years straight. You were looking at an all time table before but Clubelo do a current one too. It looks very similar to Opta.

The bottom line is though, our treble team is miles better than United’s.

It’ll probably be the domestic league pushing the English teams upwards and PSG down. It’s nonsense. I’m surprised nobody has set up an annual competition to get these teams to play each other to find out who the best team is.
