PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Pressure or monetary benefits from the PL perhaps?

How many " better " journalists are there actually out there ?

Martin Samuels is the only one that has the balls to call the cunts out apparently.
Hence why I used quotes! A few years ago Conn would've been all over this but he's turned out to be just another snake, shilling for the red cartel.

The PL was the envy of the world. That **** Tebas has played a blinder here. I guarantee it was these shady cunts who paid for that mysterious documentary that released with no names attached.
The PL is commiting suicide.

Quietly Madrid are stockpiling the top players in the world. They can do this as the PL has its teams shit scared to spend money to avoid sanctions, long term it will damage the product if the most talented players choose other leagues.

I worry that their next step will be to appeal any adverse legal decisions then appoint compliant yes men to the appeals panel (like the ones who gave the original Leicester verdict).

No need to worry about that. The appeal panel, if there is one, will be more qualified than the disciplinary panel, so no risk of yes men there. The original Leicester panel was very junior, maybe on purpose. The appeal panel was much more serious. I suspect our panel will start with the latter level of experience and the top dogs will be out for any appeal. This is the most serious case the disciplinary process will be facing, imho. Rosen can't risk another farce like the Leicester case ....

At what point does the government or a similar body get involved to force the pl to go by the rules of the country ?

You can't have organisation working in England and working outside the laws of the land. That would lead to chaos across all walks of life
Starmer an Arsenal fan? I suspect there may be a few files sitting on top of this in his in tray

Said it before and I'll say it again.........the biggest threat to our game is American owners.
It's seems only a few fan bases can see this, and perhaps a very small amount of the press/media

The very first day these American owners started to appear in our game I said on here it’d be trouble.

It's a very fine balancing act between TV shop owners and local butchers to Americans and middle eastern owners.

No idea what the answer is but where there's real money to be made there's some people who don't have a love of the game, just a love of money.

I'm glad I'm a junior FOC in some respects, football will never be what it was for the kids & even lower middle aged adults that it was for us.

Sad innit

His name is Martin Samuel, not Samuels, but agree with all the comments about him. The only reason I listen to The Times footy podcast each Thursday tbh.
