I don't know if this means anything at all in relation to our case, it might be irrelevant, but just felt it's worth adding as he chaired our hearing which is currently awaiting a verdict.

I'm not sure if he actually chaired our hearing himself, he just got to appoint the chair. He could well have chosen himself, but don't think we ever found out definitively?

They feared that if enough American owners could get a strangle hold over the league, then the possibility of a European Super league would be unstoppable. And it almost did happen. FFPR was the only thing that they could use to put them off. They also tried to get a law passed that LBO's had to be approved by the minister for sport.
