PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

He doesn't give any money to Soriano. Soriano runs the club, he spends the money that the club generates which is where transfers come from. He's the Chairman of the Board, he doesn't do anything on a day to day level and certainly won't be overruling the executive staff on whether they're allowed to spend the club's money.
Ok he can influence decisions let's put it that way

The charges weren't being heard and litigated over last season. The hearing was ongoing these last few months and has just concluded; and you can guarantee the club and our legal team will intuitively know how it went. It's the same as sitting an exam, you will know deep down if you've failed; but won't be put out of your misery until you get the results.

However significantly, there's no way this hasn't affected morale within the camp.

Once again, there will only be a handful of people who know how the hearing went. None of them will be telling anyone else. I am not sure if Soriano would even know.

So there will be nothing new in the "public" domain to affect anyone, other than a nervousness as the judgment approaches which seems to have affected some on here.

Even if we get relegated, we will come back. It might take a few seasons to reach the top again. Juventus in 2006 is a good example—after they returned to Serie A and built a new top team, they went on to win the Scudetto 11 times in a row. In the long run, the worst thing that could happen to our rivals is if we go down.

Funnily enough, we’re now in a similar situation to the season before Pep arrived. We have a squad with an average age that’s way too high, and due to the legal process and constantly shifting regulations, we’ve struggled to recruit. It’s 2015/16 all over again, except this time we don’t have a KDB, Aguero, or Fernandinho to save us.
The thing is our punishment if found guilty will not just be relegation and fines, They will add spending caps and transfer window bans and could even add no straight promotion for 2 seasons, They will 100% try and stop Manchester City for 10 years or even longer,

Once the Premier League and United and Liverpool have their say City will be lucky even to win the EFL trophy
I think if found guilty they will change the rules for state ownership or involvement in ownership to be banned

The Premier League (United) fuck up big time allowing Sheik Mansour to own Manchester City and not them

I’d say those sanctions are pretty unlikely

I’m a KFA but I have it on good authority that today is Sunday. There is, I believe, a difference between information and totally made up bullshit.
We’re heading into Christmas week, so when it comes to what day it is, I’m just going to have to take your word for it.

certainly our lawyers provided feedback to the hierarchy of how the hearing went. this could very well we were able to negate all serious points with proper proof that no panel can overlook. or we sucked ass and had no answer for some serious breaches.

Of course he can. He is there to represent the majority shareholder. If Soriano wants to spend 200 million and Mansour says not this year, Khaldoon tells Soriano to fuck off (politely).

Well of course in theory. In theory, the Board could also say no and make Sheikh Mansour fire them. In theory Sheikh Mansour could be picking the teamsheet rather than Pep because the majority owner essentially can do whatever they want.

But we're talking about reality. Sheikh Mansour isn't picking the teamsheet and Khaldoon isn't making day to day decisions on transfers. As I've said previously, this isn't even Khaldoon's "job". His "job" is to be the Mubadala CEO. City is his weekend work for lack of a better term. He runs Mubadala. He chairs the board of City.

The downturn on the pitch is freaking people out.

The deliberation is happening that’s it, so unless the judges have already said “your fucked” then nothing has changed.

Putting two and two together and letting wums feed on our emotions is not happening they can all get fucked.

Going by that logic… ie we are shit now because the charges will go against us is bizzare. So when we won everything for the last 10 seasons we must have known the whole case is build on lies and remained confident to succeed on the pitch. Right?

Enjoy Christmas, the team will be back and the charges will be a resounding success which we can dine out on forever.

I don’t find faith in khaldoon or Pannick but the fact these charges are so serious and impossible to prove in this forum.

I interpret the major investments in the stadium, Co-op Live, infrastructure, Silverlake's increased shareholding, and Pep's new contract as a clear signal to our competitors that no matter what you do, we won't disappear. We'll come back stronger, and just as you say, it won't happen overnight. It took Juventus five seasons to get back to the top, and that's kind of the point—it will take as long as it takes.
