PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Can one of the MODs tidy this thread up a bit?

Everytime I come onto it, there's talk about Pep, injuries, players performances etc absolutely no link to the thread title at all

There's plenty of threads knocking about to discuss those areas (that have been done to death!)

I agree. This thread is all over the place

Conversations naturally evolve and go on tangents and that's a good thing, too strict of an adherence to being "on topic" on the thread results in being viewed as heavy handed moderation.

Though maybe people considering if their post REALLY should be in the thread about the PL vs City financial case is the best option. Self moderation is better for everyone.

Is this a financial fair play charges rule thread or not ? Come on everybody, get back on track! Every time I pop on this thread it's pages of unrelated tickle tackle.
Far be it for me to digress and I agree wholeheartedly that people should stay on topic or push off, but the phrase I think you are looking for is tittle tattle.

We should of lockes tghe thread weeks ago until they come out with the report

There were some moments of brilliance - Bobb at Newcastle for example - but I agree the team seemed to have dropped a level from it's peak. Pep was able to get enough from the team to win the league and reach the FA Cup final which is great success in anyone's book but signs of emerging issues were evident.

Pep has been too loyal to players that have delivered success but now are struggling to deliver what his strategy demands. We also have too many players who just cannot stay fit. I love Stones, Ake, KdB etc. but we cannot rely on them and maybe it is time to ease them out? It will be a very sad day when we part company with Kev - probably the best player I have seen at City although it's great that others like Sergio, Dave and Yaya are in that conversation.

I also think Pep needs to rethink his small squad preference. In quite a few of our recent seasons we have stumbled to the finishing line and having two more genuine first team players in the squad would have helped immensely. This might make it even harder for youngsters to break through though - no simple solutions.

Finally is a review of our medical processes needed? The number of injured players we have is crazy. I know this tends to snowball with half fit players returning and getting crocked again.
I'd agree with that wholeheartedly, particularly about last season being more about effort than inspiration. I'd even argue you could even see it right at the end of the treble season, when our performances in the final two games, at Wembley and Istanbul, were somewhat laboured and uninspired.

I know what you're saying, but this thread managed about 7800 pages without a mention of on field performances etc

I should have been more precise.

I agree that UEFA only had the seven leaked emails when it started the case and the AC handed down its judgement. But by the time the appeal was heard at CAS, my reading is that City had complied with UEFA's request to release further associated emails, which it failed to do before that, and it was that prior lack of cooperation that was the only part of UEFA's charges that was upheld by CAS.
UEFA went with the 6/7 emails hence 3 days. The scale of the PL case is really monumentally different in scale. But it seems very unlikely the City witnesses would have made those witness statements without a high degree of caution/examining all of the disclosable documents in the ongoing PL case (at that time).
