PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

In November 2023, Rui Pinto was convicted by a Paris court and given a suspended six-month prison sentence for hacking into Paris Saint-Germain executives. He was also ordered to pay one euro in damages to PSG. In February, he returned to Paris to hand over more data during a meeting with European authorities. Google it in French, and you will find quotes from the French financial prosecutor.
Avez-vous d'autres devoirs à me donner, monsieur ? Google merde en français pour s'énerver pour rien ? Non merci. Chiffon.

But we instantly know he’s talking bullshit because The Premier League cannot decide where in the pyramid we would be placed. The EFL would have that headache. It really is fucking tidal wave of fucking nonsense.
Exacty. All the premier can do is deduct points. Cant expell us to the championship. If they do expell us then the highest division we can play is league 2 and even then it will be a vote with the EFL clubs

I had a quick delve last night into the posting history of the guy who made this claim*. Couldn't be arsed putting in much of an effort on Christmas Eve, but for what it's worth, the conclusions are below.

He's not a frequent contributor but definitely seems a committed Blue of long standing. My guess is that the chairman he references is Daniel Levy, mainly because posts commenting on a potential transfer to City for Harry Kane a few years back, as rumoured in the media, seemed to hint at knowledge of the situation beyond what was in the public domain.

If it is Levy, then he in my view has every motive to continue to the bitter end to take this line in private to anyone who'll listen, whatever the truth. He'll want pressure to be on the PL to use any available avenue of appeal if the current proceedings entail a better outcome for City than he suggests. Meanwhile, if the final result is similar, it leaves a suggestion of City getting away with it that the client media will happily amplify.

I agree with Stefan in that the soft signals at the moment all point one way. That refers to matters in the public domain that might be thought of as indicative but can't, given that we don't know for sure what the evidence is, be regarded as conclusive.

* - To the poster himself: sorry for subjecting you to this scrutiny. However, you didn't offer any real evidence of your good faith or otherwise, which is important for others with this kind of post. This type of research is therefore the natural step to enable us to assess that.

Anyway, thanks to all who've contributed interesting and insightful posts to this thread in the last 12 months. Let's hope that we're now relatively close to the end and it's an outcome we on here can be satisfied with.

In the meantime, Merry Christmas to all! Mind how you go.
If you were a footballer your name would be Rodri.

Have a great Christmas.

That is true but and this is a big but, jus tthink how funny it would be if we signed him for free and he actually came to City and played like National team Pogba, whereas at the rags he left and rejoined for 100m+ (not 97m as claimed) and then left again on a free but got nowhere near his best form.

Saying all of that, I couldn't stand the prick really.
No ta.
He's completely not our type of player.
All about himself.
His brand.
Hiw many followers on what ever shit he has.
His hair cut.
Not for me .
Never he's a twat
And he's a rag twat

We all know we're not guilty.
But shit sticks.
The objective of all this has been a success.
They stopped us on our tracks.
When we were at the top we had to hold back spends.
Also possibly found it more difficult to sign top players.
Haaland apart.
So what ever happens the corrupt cartel think they have there wish.
Were down at the moment.
In a bad patch.
But...
The best manager ever has siged for 2 more years.
I believe he will sort this out.
In pep we trust
