PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

That bring memories of my childhood. It was called Branded wasn't it.
Yes mate, cracking TV series.

All but one man died
There at Bitter Creek
And they say he ran away…

Branded!
Marked with a coward's shame
What do you do when you're branded
Will you fight for your name?

He was innocent
Not a charge was true
But the world will never know…

Branded!
Scorned as the one who ran
What do you do when you're branded
And you know you're a man?

Wherever you go
For the rest of your life
You must prove…
You're a man!
Ah, getting home from school in the 70s, branded, blue peter, the wacky races,(proper)scooby doo etc etc and the magic roundabout to finish off the kids programmes before news at six/look north west.

Branded is exactly what they have done to our club, really hope we push back when found innocent.

Ziegler again at 7pm this evening in the Times. What a ****, words it like we will have to appeal.

Man City could learn fate next month but appeal could drag on until next season

Reigning champions are accused of breaking 130 Premier League rules over 14-year period — but legal experts think that any appeal will drag on until next season

The daily Fail has already told the public we are guilty, most people who don’t follow football but read the Fail will consequently assume we are guilty, that is why the cunts get so many readers, they never wait for the results, and then they will launch another campaign to challenge the results if we are found innocent, thus increasing their click bait for another two years or more.

I have heard people more knowledgeable than me say that an appeal is likely either way - but I just can’t see it if the ruling is in City’s favour.

In that scenario Masters is finished and will resign immediately.

You then have someone else coming in with a perfect opportunity to draw a line under the whole situation.

I just don’t see any scenario where the new chief executive will allow the stain of the most badly-judged litigation in the history of sport to bleed over into his/her reign.

They will want to make their mark and claim a new era for the premier league - that can’t done with the financial and reputational shadow of an appeal hanging over it.
I think if City win this then it will be the end of the PL as a governing body.
The cartel clubs will say that the PL is unfit for purpose because they failed to prosecute the most egregious (in their view) breaking of the rules by City, and they will flounce off and set up their own competition to which we will not be invited.
The future for fans of other clubs will be a revived ESL with games and teams being taken abroad to Europe and to the US, with no relegation or promotion just like the NFL, perhaps even with ‘franchise’ style ownership.
All those who saw City as the destroyers of PL football are seriously in for a shock if they get what they and the cartel want.
Unintended consequences are sometimes fatal.
