PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Latest from the Inde stirring it up
Old rehashed shite made to looked like old rehashed shite.

Do these journalist pricks actually make any money? This is what you find on ragcafe and the tramps forum.

Can't stop laughing.

What an amazing coincidence, hearing that just after Keegans piece in the mail
Did he say "I would love it, really love it, if City were cleared"?

As Stefan pointed out a number of times, the grounds for appeal against a CAS decision are so narrow that it's virtually impossible to bring an appeal, let alone win it.

I assume it was Nick Harris who advised them to appeal?

Talk about a total distortion. One law firm said UEFA "may have grounds for appeal" while another firm told them they had "little chance of success." Given that the CAS Judges said they had "no evidence" on 11 occasions in their judgement statement it looks like UEFA made the correct decision. The Independent thinks we are all stupid.

Weren't some other payments disclosed in the press that weren't part of the admitted offences? That may be taking longer.
There were other payments ( I assume) disclosed in the press but most of those track directly back to companies owned by RA.
Based on what little we know these payments may be in respect of sums that should have been paid through clubs accounts but equally possible is that they won’t be proven to be club liabilities.
For instance a sum was paid to look into the legality of FFP another was in respect of loans to individuals involved at other clubs.
Personally I think the PL have a dilemma in that RA is no longer on the scene and whilst payments on the face of it may indeed appear to be the clubs even on the balance of probability it may not be easy to prove to the required level

Yep, it did what the Daily Mail intended it to do, that article. Got mutants giddy, gave social media content creators some content to spin as big news. Gave the impression that the PL must have had a stronger case than originally thought/hoped. When the truth is as boring as someone not adding it up correctly in first place(and the press already clocked that ages ago).

I'd like to think someone at City has got onto them about this, but I suppose it will make no difference in the long run. City are fair game for anything these days, because the press know they can do what they like, even if City complain. Just as long as they include something in the small print that covers their backs, they can mislead all they like and blame the reader for not spotting it. What a disgraceful industry sports journalism has become on the whole.

I don’t understand why clubs are not making more of for example Chelsea’s situation be it this or the shirt deal or stadium / hotel sales or United PSR stuff
The clubs had the opportunity to change the rules reassert sale but choose not to.

Because of US rules Utds holding company had to quantify and publish the sum they believe in terms of losses was attributed to COVID but it’s almost 100% certain that the sum allowed for PSR wasn’t the same number as shown in the holding company’s accounts

Wrong.

The Independent thinks the rags and dippers are stupid enough to click and absorb it.

The Independent is right.
