PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Does anyone else think that every £m spent in January would be a positive indicator on the 115 swingometer. The need for players is screamingly obvious but the club must be acutely aware the IC Panel are in decision mode. Would the optics of a £100m splodge be too risky ?. In which case it may be Pogba on a 6 month contract. On the other hand if the club are super confident about the 115 outcome they could go for it big time, make a statement signing, even pay over the odds for the right players. For once, and at last this won't be done behind closed doors with the fans left constantly guessing wtf is going on. DEALs or NO DEALs....

No. Even a decent transfer window will pale in comparison to the cost of the stadium expansion. I think we’ll spend in January but I wouldn’t read much into it either way

I'd be concerned if the IC are going to be influenced on their decisions around 2009 - 2018 based on our spending in 2025

She thinks City will be punished but not with all the charges but enough to be demoted from having Fox's and McVities biscuits and Yorkshire Gold Tea to having to have all our refreshments from the Savers range from Morrisons. Yeh a Pannel of lawyers accountants business people KCs etc are going to ignore the rules the law and go o they spent a lot let’s relegate them and cost them 100s of millions and risk getting over turned and then sued on appeal

Hope so. eg We've had that £85m from Atleti 'in the bank' for a few months now, we could go for an Alvarez replacement in January. We need to make a huge push for top 4 and UCL knockout stage, total reliance on Haaland for goals isnt working. Surely a new striker is available from somewhere? The next 3-4 months could determine what the next three years will look like. We all need to pull together.

Hate to be one of those people but heard another positive soft signal (not transfer related) this morning. Seems to me that it would be incompatible with a finding of serious wrong doing at the club. I can't say anything specific but consistent with the other soft signals (being something in the background that would seem unlikely if a seriously negative outcome was coming from the case).
