PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Apologies, TGIF!!

Some kind person tipped me off about certain agents asking City for assurances re the current case.

I've done some asking and stood it up.

City, as they did in January, and are now doing in current negotiations for players this summer, are insisting to their clients that there is nothing to be concerned about.

To be honest, I don't know why I didn't think before that agents would be asking those questions.

I was put on to it by a fellow Blue with a contact not far from UEFA HQ.

Not a home run, but a very decent one at this late stage in the game!!
That'll do but you can be a bit of a fucker;)

Tolmie chatting out of his a** again just like he did about Neymar, Bellingham, Zubimendi etc
Tolmie is well placed unlike most of us. So if he's positive about the case, that's good news. Whether his comment relates to a draft ruling or a general positive reading, is difficult to say. That there has been no confirmed news does not discredit his comment.

OK folks, Tolmie's video wouldn't play over here in the colonies and even though I have an idea from the follow up posts as to what it is about, could some kind person let me know what it actually was? Thanks in advance from the land of bullshit and chewing gum. @tolmie's hairdoo

Note to self: get some VPN software...

Wasn’t the publishing of the APT award held up for a few weeks by the PL, until an exasperated City threatened to release it unilaterally?

Surely that puts to bed the PL’s ability to have ‘grown up’ discussions and/or a capability to follow their own rules, when the outcome is a ‘loss’ for the PL?
No requirement to announce the APT award. Rule X is different from Rule W. Rule W has to be announced

Just so I understand. You are saying the panel is finished when the judgment is issued to the two parties, then it is up to the PL to publish at a time agreed with the club?

Not really important, I suppose, but it's interesting to know what is going on in the background.
The panel will only get involved in administrative or consequentials if the parties can't agree. I'm confident both parties understand the need for the judgment to be released within hours of being handed down. But if the PL resisted, for example, and City objected, they could raise with the IC.

Those agents you would imagine would want something genuinely persuasive rather than 'we're confident'.

Relegation clauses and anything else to cover their players would be enough.

With an ongoing investigation it's a risk joining us, but as long as we provide assurances and the contracts cover the worst case scenario I don't think it would put anyone off.

Tolmie's update is good news in that, post-hearing, we are still very positive. Whilst you wouldn't expect anything else, we may well have held off or delayed future business if we were concerned.

Umm this thread has added 70 pages in the last 10 hours..

Is there any need for me to go through it??

Surely my question still stands, how can City guarantee anything without knowing the result 100%?
Because we are part of the process and will know what points we have covered off and what are not. I don't know anything about legal cases but I can imagine that one party might have very good reason to be believe that some parts of the allegations are tidied off, or dropped.

That we have signed agreements with several significant players and Pep suggests to me that City have been convincing.
