PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I wonder who at city would know after which time drframes of the papers being sent to city.
Obviously people like khaldoon and soriano would know straight away but how long would it take to filter down?
Would pep, txiki/viana or danny Wilson know within 24 hours? Would the players or staff who work with the players? What about the media team?
People would know almost immediately especially the senior and key figures you’ve mentioned
The rest of the club very very soon after
It’s not something that would stay secret very long

The FT also appeared to confirm the split hearing in the Masters interview piece. I'd say it is 99% that the initial hearing was liability only.

As of now there is almost zero chance a second hearing has happened in secret and a liability decision has been slipped out.

I'd say the only outstanding question on this is whether we get the liability decision released before any sanction hearing (if any) and if so whether it has any redaction of note. There is a chance that the reasoned decisions are both held back to be released upon the conclusion of the sanction decision. I think this is what the FA did in the recent Nottingham Forest case.

Makes sense to me. It would avoid the absolute shambles that the APT judgment has become. As long as the panel could prevent leaking, I suppose.

And then some…

I always try to be rational.

Are all clubs squeaky clean? No

It’s ok to have the club in over 1 billion debt and sack the cleaners.

It’s ok to run a multimillion pound club and beg for covid cash.

It’s ok to have record breaking commercial income but again go cap n hand looking public tax money to fund a stadium.

It’s ok to sell hotels to your parent company.

It’s ok to plan a fake stadium build to avoid uefa sanctions.

It’s ok to hack a rival club.

It’s ok to hide losses using a corporate take over well 20% percent or so.

It’s ok to a have a Russian do what ever the fuck he wants.

So whatever city may or may not have done, which I’m sure is legal but maybe bends the rules so fucking what. It’s no worse than anyone else.

The majority above could be considered fraud and it certainly raises questions around sporting fairness and integrity.
Great reply

I'd expect the press to find out within the hour of the players being told either directly from them or via agents.
Nothing really in the press at the moment so nobody at city must know

This is what has always made me laugh about the general clamour from fans of other clubs. It all starts from this strange sense of moral superiority. There isn’t a football club in this country without a skeleton or two in the closet. The bigger the club, the more skeletons.

Perhaps another soft signal that City have won.

Certainly the headlines are of a different nature - but they could just be covering their backs of course - particularly as the general media coverage has softened slightly.

There's now a list of people in my head who have claimed that we've already won that have tanked their credibility. They weren't passing info in good faith, they were vying for attention. Two of them specifically also happened to be attempting to bring in money and I'm sure their social media posts helped their various campaigns.
The silks at Bacon, Watercress and Garlic chambers are at the top of my list.
