Just heard Kenny Dalglish on SSN praising Reina as the best goalkeeper in the Prem.

Always thought Hart was the best, where would people rank our Joe?

Hart
Reina
Cech
Friedel
Given
Vorm
Is my opinion, but I must admit I don't really know all the Premier league GK's!

I have no statistics to back me up but I've always felt personally that Reina was overrated. Gives up a fair share of howlers and whenever he concedes he yells and complains to the point of getting booked. Grade A twat.

It's very hard to rank goalkeepers. In some ways, they are only as good as the defence/team infront of them. Hart kept the most clean sheets last season, but that doesn't mean he's already the best keeper in the league. It means City were the best at shutting out the opposition. He's up there, but i don't know how anyone could prove who the best is. Put Hart behind Titus Bramble and Johnny Evans and he will concede every game. Put him behind Kompany and Lescott and he'll keep 29 clean sheets in all competitions, or whatever it was. Impossible to rank them.

Personally, I think Reina is in the top 2 but Hart is better.

So:
Hart
Reina
Cech
Given
Friedel
Howard
Vorm
De Shite
etc.

i feel you can only rank their shot stopping abilities due to other external factors i.e. the players infront of them.

and nevermind joe hart i think him and given were in the top 5

I hate fucking Kenny! never understood what make him such a great manager. the bindippers even compare him with SAF deluded bunch.

Hart and Cech are the best. Freidel and Given are very consistent. Reina is up there, but he is not the best keeper. From a man who spent £20M on Henderson i would not take it too seriously.

You can still rank them on quality and talent though..because i guarantee if the boss phoned me up and said "kayla, you are a in a goal on a sunday, this is a important..." (like my mancini impression? haha) but yes..if that happened, we'd concede a few more than if Joe was in goal lol.

Joe's top 3 certainly, would be number one, but he does still make the odd mistake which is understandable given his youth. That will iron out with more experience. Ironically we just sold one of the other top 3 Premier League keepers to Villa. Great signing for them that, he was wasted as a second string.

Reina is pretty good but he's always been slightly overrated IMO.

Laughably the official PL site ranks De Gea as the best rated keeper in the Premiership despite him having without doubt the shakiest opening 2 games of possibly any goalkeeper in Premier League history ever, including that daft Italian they had. Still, the rag PR machine rolls on.

Vorm is not looking bad for a new boy.

I personally think Hart is sometimes a tad overrated. Don't get me wrong, he's a great young keeper, but its his distribution that can let him down. Reina probably has the best in the League, and De Gea's kicking is also quite good.

As much as I rate hart he is third best after cech and reina. However he is young so will be the best soon

One name that's not been mentioned is Szczesny at the Arse. 21 years old and had a great game last night, wonderful penalty save with a strong top hand. He's one to watch.

Hopefully so,only weakness i see is his footwork before diving.Looked suspect a couple of times.Thought it could have been better at the Davies goal on Sunday as well.
