If we get Mourinho we're right back in this same situation in two seasons, however we'd likely win a huge amount in that time.
Pellegrini is probably the most prudent choice. Get all the players back on board, happy, pushing for a common goal.
Klopp would be amazing but surely won't leave Dortmund, would be a long term appointment when we're potentially seeing Pep as the long term man instead? No point getting him in for two seasons.
De Boer is an outside shot though I don't think he'd have the immediate impact especially in the Champions League that Pellegrini would. Ancelotti is another outside shot but surely nailed on for Madrid.
Rafa would have to be short term, though I don't think he's as bad as some made out. Time at Chelsea proves that even though we've done very well against them this season. They're still in the Europa final and could catch us into second. Superior goal difference too.
Anyone like Rogers should be dismissed immediately as a sad twisted joke. If he rocks up here I'm immediately consigning all achievements of Ferran and Txiki at Barca into the 'right place right time' bin, because the only managerial question to which Brendan Rogers is the answer is who will cement us outside the top 4 the quickest.
We need someone who can get all the players happy again, playing good football and making major dents in the Champions League. I don't think that leaves us with a huge range of options, probably just Pellegrini, Mourinho, Ancelotti or Klopp.
