Places to stay for wembley

We are regular visitors to London village hotels, and for 2011, we followed our usual routine in always staying well away from the major event and used the tube. That way you avoid overpriced rooms and tube is comparitively cheap!!!! We will again be staying in Shoreditch for the semi, which is well away from the crap opposition fans and is a very trendy area, so makes it a cool weekend all round. So if you are into places like Northern Quarter, you will love it.

Travellodge watford central I got 12-14 april 60 pound for me and father. Stayed there last time for semi. It had late bar which shut when everyone stopped drinking. So no time limit when to stop so jobs a good un.

Ibis Wembley - next to Wembley Stadium tube, on the approach to our end (hopefully, if same as last time).
Booked both nights separately so can cancel free of charge.
It was magic after the rag semi - sat with a beer on the mezzanine level watching the blues party and them looking bemused. I just drank it all in... same again please.

I'd give it a bit of time before booking anywhere because we don't know if the game will even be on that weekend yet. It is probably more likely it will be but there's a chance it won't be.

-- Mon Mar 11, 2013 11:47 am --

Someone at work was saying that this might be on a Wednesday. Something to do with Chelsea's Europa League commitments. I didn't really understand what he was on about as it was too early.
If Chelsea beat Bucharest they go through to the next round of the EL which leaves no date for them to play their replay with United before the semi-final weekend so they might play their replay with United on that weekend with the semi final against us being moved to the midweek.

What also might happen is PL fixtures to be rearranged on an upcoming weekend so they could play their replay with United to fit in with keeping the semi-final on the 13th/14th; but they didn't move their PL fixture in the Fourth Round and made them play their replay with Brentford on the weekend of the Fifth Round and they played their Fifth Round game in the midweek away at Boro.

So it's all just guess work at the moment. We'll have to wait until Thursday at least before the FA tell us what's what.

I have been told by somebody very close to the club the semi will be played the 13/14, there is a very good chance the derby game on the 8th will be cancelled for them to play the replay on the 6th April. We will also be the Sunday game for the semi.
We have just booked 4 rooms for the Park Inn Watford £47.50 for a double room including breakfast.

The Fox and Goose on Hanger Lane is a top hotel to stay with a pub attached to it as we'll , definitely pay extra for the breakfast well worth it . It's about 15-20 walk to wembley or 10 mins in taxi and you come into wembley were all the city pubs were allocated for the final etc .
