Plans for 2026

Could be a huge, life changing year for me, but I absolutely need to slow down if I’m going to maximise the opportunity.

I’ve lost just under a stone this year but need to go further, and I absolutely need to drink less, which is hard because I fucking love the stuff. Need to keep my health up for lots of reasons and reducing my drinking is very much part of that. I feel fine and am not suffering from faltering health, but I have to stop taking that for granted as I approach 60.

Need to reign in my impulsivity too, which again is hard because of how I’m wired. Think my impulsivity is probably linked to my drinking and eating habits.

Hope others reach any goals they set themselves.

2026 is going to be a year of transition after a shit 2025.

Going to sacrifice a few things (like nights out and spending £200 at City Saturday home games due to doing 14-hour drinking sessions around the match) to make sure I get as much of my flat renovated and decorated as possible.

While that’s happening, also get fit, get in proper shape, eat well and be healthy.

Then, by 2027, I hope to be able to just enjoy myself again (while keeping the weight off and still being healthy most of the time).

Enjoy my single life
Do a park run in under 30 mins
Get sub 15 percent body fat
Invest more into my pension
My dad and mum live another year
Go on a nice holiday
City win a trophy
Enjoy my kids
Be happy
Be decent with others people
Enjoy being 50!

I wish my mum and dad were still around .... it's an awful feeling knowing i'll never see them again.

keep breathing
walk/hike more
shoot more
drink less alcohol
eat better
see as much of my daughter as possible
ensure no photos of daughter appear on bluemoon
find new ways to enjoy early retirement
do much needed home and garden improvements (or put it off again as last year, the year before that and the year before that)

Lose 3 stone. Days of fighting weight are long gone but I eat generally very healthily. I basically eat proteins and greens. Problem is I have far too many calories from alcohol which have no nutritional value whatsoever and I don't find enough time in life to do the amount of exercise that I used to.
