sat at Heathrow just now, flight up, mum's for tea, game, walk to town, drink, late late bus down south to get the first flight back to Finland from Heathrow in the morning, work

and then again this weekend

Good stuff leithblue.
I've been dying with a head cold, sore throat etc and have been debating whether to go or not. You've made my mind up for me.

Quick sauna to sweat it out, pop in work for an hour, hottest curry on the menu (can't taste anything), couple of hot toddies then off to the game wih a hip flask.

Mate, saunas/steam rooms/heat of any kind make colds worse! The increased body temperature and increased heart rate also sees an increase in the flow of your lymphatic system. With this your glands don't filter out all the sht because it's flowing too fast and the cold remains! Plus the bacteria will latch on to moisture in the air and spread to to other people.

Cheers Dan. There seems to be a bit of debate about this. As long as the body doesn't get too hot, then it can be beneficial. No more than 15mins, followed by a cool shower is recommended.

If anything it will help me get some liquids down me, generate an appetite and lose the ache from my bones.

Take your point about spreading it to other people. I try and reduce this by taking a towel in with me to sit on.

just been for a run, so now im going to chill on football manager for a couple of hours, and then head to town, and then to the COMS. Happy days
