plastic mancs

Born in Urmston, raised in Urmston, never lived in Manchester in my whole life. I am a City fan.

I've watched City for 40 years and City used to play A and B matches in Urmston - I was there!


Plastic Mancs are the people whom stream up the M6/A56 past my house in Altrincham when the Stretford out fit play at home, and stream back home down south after the game.

think i might be one. im from sale, which i might add is full of reds so i have every right to be proud of being a city fan just for being in a minority. having said that the racecourse estate seems to have a lot of city fans on it.

Have you seen how many cars come off the M56 onto the Parkway for our games? I would guess alot of Mancs have emigrated to Cheshire/ North Wales etc.

having read some of the posts on here i am having trouble defining what a plastic manc is, is it a manc who overplays the part? is it somebody who comes from the surrounding villages(oldham,stockport,ashton etc)saying they come from manchester? i dont think people travelling in to see city are plastics, most are not pretending to be mancs. the only answer i can find to the question"what is a plastic manc?" is terry christian.
