Platt used to play with Mancini at Sampdoria. He also used to play for Juventus so maybe he speaks Italian which I don't suppose that other ex rag player Brian Kidd does. I for one couldn't understand what was going on at home to Liverpool and Spurs last season.

I hate the negativity that threads like this are going to bring, obviously Platt is here for the long haul so we have to support him. I now fear what the snowball effect will bring, that fans who would normally have given the fella a chance are going to be swayed like lemmings to hate the guy, what good can that bring. It really has left a sour taste for what should be celebratory times, not the fact we have appointed him but the fact he is getting all this abuse. Perhaps keep thoughts to yourself and see what he can do for us, or shall we all adapt some sort of ludicrous yellow/green scarf protest.... are we not better than that..

Thing is, he doesn't just slag off city all the time. He hates Mancini, he's always slagging him off and saying we should have kept Hughes.
