Yeah, UEFA like as much time before the event to put up their branding, make sure the pitch is in good condition etc.

With national venues they'll move finals to other stadiums, and for league stadiums they'll try and switch fixtures to away games.

They'll all be back at Wembley next year I think

I hate the FA as much as the next man however to be fair to them when I held the UEFA Final I think I remember us having to change a fixture because we couldn't play at COMS for about a week before the final? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Our last two fixtures that season were both away from home, at Liverpool and Middlesbrough. UEFA effectively take over the stadium 2 weeks before their major Finals.

Yeah, at the start of the season one of those was at home and it was switched around.

Just said this on our forum... A major football stadium in the world can't hack 2 more games on the NEW pitch they have relaid. It's bull.

Its not down to 2 extra games on the pitch, the league 2 play off is the same day (May 28th) as the Champions League final according to the football league site, and I doubt UEFA would see that as pre-match entertainment, league 1 play off is the following day, so I doubt the stadium would be ready in time.

Like someone already said, The Emirates would have been a perfect choice.

Still, at least all the plastics from Bournemouth/ Milton Keynes/ Wycombe etc, will get their first trip to Sold Trafford whilst watching their local teams.

It would be 2 games on the same day !

The league 2 playoff is the same day as Champions League final therefore it has to be moved. Also the stadium will get the full UEFA makeover so it won't be ready for League 1 the next day either, far too much will need to be removed.
