Lake would be immense, could have been genuinely world class (especially with better treatment if he got the first injury!)

Every time I see Haaland start that run, I wish we had prime David Silva to play those simple passes between centre half and full back.

Every time we saw a ball passed across the 6yd box with no one attacking it last season, I thought Goater would get 20 goals a season for us, but then he has let himself go a bit. Prime Goater would have shinned about 40.

I'd have loved to see a younger Bernarbia when we had him, let alone now. A player I knew nothing about until that first match against Birmingham.

Doubt Kinkladze would have been willing to put the work in, but he could have been Pep's new Messi if he had done. Imagine him coming off the right wing.

Colin Bell. We wouldn't even need De Bruyne.

Dave Watson / Vincent Kompany. We've never had better central defenders than those two.
