Player from the past you'd love to see in the current team

The ones that instantly spring to mind for me are Tevez and Bellamy. Agree with an earlier poster too that Gareth Barry had everything Pep would look for in that holding role.

Prior to that Van Buyton, Sylvinho and Elano, and he’d have had Lakey playing more positions than Bernardo!

The Goat may put Haaland into second running... possibly... definitely maybe.
Not sure about that. The Goat was of his time.
If we are talking about the 22-23 Pep team then Lakey for sure - would have been incredible as one of the defenders. Imagine him being able to bring he ball out so gracefully and distribute.

King Colin of course.
Tueart would have been great in the Grealish/Foden position but would be moving inside a lot more and much more of a goal threat.
Would have loved to see what Pep could do with Berkovic and/or Ali B. Imagine Ali B instead of Gundogan?
Think Distin is also a decent shout as left sided defender.
And the jewel in the crown, the cherry on the cake, the finding free money on the street....would be Gio. My God, it's m wet dream so to speak to see Gio running through those 10 man defences and to those who say he was too lazy it needs to be noted he's playing with high class players being coached and motivated by arguable the greatest coach.
Which is a long way from listening to Frank Clark and Phil Neal whilst waiting (in vain) for a killer pass from......Ged Brannan
