39 was Anelka. 29 was early SWP, I think, but when I think of SWP, I see the number 8 now.

Exactly. I'm all for cult heroes, but with all the great players you've had, labelling Anelka's and SWP's numbers iconic seems a stretch.

SWP and Anelka were our biggest selling shirts before the takeover. All kids had Anelka or Wright-Phillips with high numbers on.
