I think Nunes is right up there after Josko, and fucking what of it! Won't be picking another sport, go wind your neck in. He has put in the work, he has made a couple howlers, so has every other **** this season. Including Haaland. He has also contributed to a variety of roles and the team adapting to formations to overcome injuries. Deserves credit, and when nobody else had any consistecy, hardly a fucking contraversial take to say he has been up there.

All have a shout, but feels like Gvardiol was the stand out, esp given the defensive frailties we have shown and how he has performed on the whole. Plus, he’s popped up with a few goals, too.

Nunes has been up and down, but has been our best RB, given Akanji & Stones inability to be on the field or able to slot in because we have two fit CBs. Glad to see him score the winner against Villa, but have always felt there was a player there, even while he was getting slagged off every week.

Haaland’s goals are what have put us in the position to even be competing for the CL positions, but, boy, has he missed more than his share this season. He’ll probably win it on a fan vote, but…

Kovacic is a stealthy performer. Does the dirty work well, chips in with a goal every now and then, and has shown his ability to break the lines with pace on more than one occasion. It’s interesting that people are saying he’s going to be leaving, yet City seemingly saying they need what they paid for him to agree a transfer. He’s the epitome of an excellent squad player who can put in a shift, do the hard graft, and never cause a minute’s bother. Love the fella.

I can see why a lot of you are going for Gvardiol as he has played well, but he has also been responsible for us conceding on several occasions.

Frankly I can not pick a single player, that is how inconsistent we have been this season.

Last season there were several I could have chosen and could not argue with anybody who picked Phil. But what has happened to him, he has been dreadful.

Truly a shambles of a season, the only players to have been completely consistent are O’Reilly or Rodri but neither have played enough to warrant Player of the Year.

Nunes has to be a sympathy vote. Okay, he didn’t ask to play as full back and he has stuck at it and shown decent form in the last month which is commendable. Player of the year is a serious stretch though. The home derby alone should be enough to rule him out. Easily the most depressing day of an awful season. And there have been many other errors along the way that cost us.

So it’s Gvardiol for me, and as someone else said, even he had a horrible couple of months mid season.
