Player ratings - Barcelona (a)

Bravo 1 - Not 1 but 2 ridiculous mistakes at a pivitol point in the game. Absolutley killed us.
Zaba 5 - Did ok against Neymar until we went down to 10 then got exposed
Stones 4 - Worst game since his and arrival and that chance!!! :/
Otamendi 7 - Played well and made some strong tackles
Kolarov 4 - Game was dead but stupid tackle for the Penalty
Fernandinho 4 - Poor for me, didn't do enough
Gundogan 6 - Half decent, created chances and could/should of scored but at fault for 4th
Silva 4 - Neither here nor there
Nolito 6 - Did well, worked hard and looked dangerous in spells
Sterling 7 - City's MOM, looked dangerous and direct
KDB - 6 - Did ok but that's about it.

It's one of the silliest way to judge football Ric. And looking at a few of the scores our fans give on here tells you enough. Better leave this out of the forum unless you are keen on the clicks that this site needs. I thought that one was just for the papers.

Bit harsh for me, Bravo was OK till the 2 cock ups.
I'd have given him 6, thought Zab did ok, Neymar didn't do much till he'd gone off. Sterling and Nolito probably our best players. Disappointed with Stones Silva and KDB, but they weren't terrible. Kolarov mistake for first goal not tracking Messi, costly once Fernandhino slipped, without that, and with a bit better finishing we could have gone 1 or 2 up, though I suspect they would have upped their game had we done so. We certainly didn't deserve the final score, apart from our errors.

Few players fell below their usual level, playing without a centre forward cost us the game even with the red card.

Hell, we played well against Barca. Extremely well.

Unfortunately our keeper made one mistake (turned it over to Suarez) and then a second (hand ball way outside the box).

These things happen.

I'm actually very happy with our performance against Barca.

Unfortunate for Bravo (and our team) to make such big errors. But, these thing happen - especially so since we're always going to play it out from the back.
 
a few over reactions here IMO:

Bravo 5 - Until his bran fart i think he was doing ok
Zaba 6 - stuck to the gameplan and did well against neymar until we went to 10 men and he came off injured
Stones 6 - showed some guts to take the ball out on occasions but still struggles in defensive decision making IMO
Otamendi 7 - still sliding too much for me, but made some key tackles and tried to instigate balls into midfield
Kolarov 5 - personally think he should have been stronger in the tackle leading up to the first goal & the pen was a bit needless but other than that he was so so.
Fernandinho 6- Tried to get about but at times was over run, which is weird for a team playing with no recognised striker!
Gundogan 6 - getting to grips with it a bit more imo, had some decent moments except the loose ball for one of their goals. im almost positive a barca player would have gone over had otamendi made the challenge pique made on him in the box (obv we would have missed the pen though!)
Silva 5 - one of his worst games this season, if not the worst. not enough movement, losing the ball a lot and not enough drive. maybe missed KDB being next to him.
Nolito 7 - impressed with him, ran his socks off and when he got the ball he tried to make things happen even when he was crowded out and team mates weren't helping
Sterling 8 - started well against alba but seemed to struggle against digne in the first half. took some responsbility in the second and had a good go at it.
KDB 6 - game seemed to pass him by for long periods. think he would have made more of a difference than silva did in his role.
