Richards 1? Why's that mate, Bit harsh imo.

He was left on his own for most of the game not 1 of the 3 holding midfielders went across to cover him when Bale went at him, There was one ocassion when De Jong helped him out and thats it. Barry did a good job protecting Kolarov and Zabaleta most of the game but nobody really helped Richards.

they were both off the pace,but I thought Silva looked less busy.Tevez will often chase a lost cause which will make it hard to mark him too low.I wasn;t disapointed with Silva,it was what I expected from most of the new signings to be fair.This is going to be a great side in a few weeks I am convinced of this.

Hart 10- World Class performance but I wonder if Given will be the UEFA Cup keeper?

Richards 4 maybe 3, awful performance lazy getting back while bale tore him a new one

Kompany- 8- the man oozes class, as a CB hes a top role model
Toure 7- couple of errors but overall very good.
Kolarov- 7 til he got injured.

Barry- 6 hes very slow and this can really hamper our performace sometimes
De jong- 7- class defensively as always just lost it a few times
Toure 6- Itl take him a while to adapt to the prem but shows the class he has at times

Silva- 6- same as toure
Tevez- 6- not match sharp, worked hard as usual
SWP- 5- just lost the ball too many times and no awesome SWP runs down the wing and should have scored.

Subs
Johno- 7- great run, looked sharper than shaun, would scored higher with more time probably
Zabeleta- 7- looked solid in defence as ever would prefer him at RB than richards if boateng is unfit.
Adebayore- 8- did a mint hop onto the pitch

Thought SWP did ok he tracked back a lot and put a lot of work in covering for Richards I think the OP's 3 is very harsh, Richards was poor, NDJ's passing was very poor, Kolo was good and Kompany very good, the rest did ok. Hart was immense.
