Yes I accept that if we had to bolster midfield then Edin was a candidate to come off. Will be interesting to see how much game time he gets now we have Wilfried Bony.

I felt it was the wrong option to take him off today and if anything it weakened us. I suppose it's all hindsight though.

He shouldn't have been subbed today. He will score goals and will always be a threat.

of course he will score goals, he's playing for Man City and we tend to score a lot of goals and create a lot of chances....these days, in modern football, teams need more than people who just score goals, they are looking for forwards to track back, work hard, hold the ball up, be pacy...does he do this? I don't think he does well enough without the ball to be classed a top striker.

That all sounds great but to be honest I would have just taken the goals today.

Looking better than at any time this season but other players' failings get him hooked every game.

Has to be very frustrating for him to keep being first player to get subbed even if you have a good game.

Ultimately a team-first guy, so this will not bring him down...

Worse part is that this pattern is not serving CITY....today it was pellers' biggest mistake...cause while 4-4-2 we were at least exchanging chances...once we went one striker we went dog shit in all respects.

I agree Eagles. The moment he went off we looked absolutely inept and toothless up front. I believe it was the wrong substitution. Milner should have come on for Nasri. Edin should have stayed out there.
That was the substitution that I expected because Samir wasn't doing anything to help the cause. I was gob smacked when Edin was withdrawn.

He scored didn't he? What more do you want? Honestly...don't know they are born some folk *tut*.

Didn't think he was up to much, good finish aside. But having said that we were fucking diabolical when he went off. Nasri should have gone off far earlier, should have been able to bring Navas on, and Milner was totally ineffective.

Saying that, going from 442 to 451 isn't a natural progression; starting with 1 up front then putting a second one is more likely to have an impact on the game than taking the workload off their centre halves.

Must be getting pretty pissed off at being the team fall guy. When and if needed. Hooked off when he's scoring, or playing well. Admittedly yesterday I was unsure who to take off, we needed to add to our midfield, but I like Edin.
