Absolutely no substance to any of this.

People know there's no way to prove he hasn't done coke so claim that's the reason he's nowhere near the first team, didn't Mutu get absolutely fucked for being caught?

Yep, a year ban or so which was heavily publicised and he was sacked by Chelski.

I doubt the Coke rumour, can't see any chance of the body that issued the ban not making it public if that were so, or the press ratpack not picking up the story if there was so much of a hint of truth in it.
Pretty sure I saw him on either citytoday/inside city training with the first team squad in the last week or so ?

Re: Nastasic - just what is the problem?

Talk of ching always seems to surface whenever a young player falls out of favour or suffers some puzzling long term injury. Because they're off the scene they're suddenly shoving shit up their conk. There are myriad reasons for a player not to be fancied by a manager before we should even start talking about class a drug use. If any city player was ever found to be at it, I'd expect the club to come out and either sack them or back them with appropriate treatment and support. Either way I don't see how the club stands very much to lose in terms of credibility.

Re: Nastasic - just what is the problem?

Not banned, unlikely to be injured, probably just sold.
He's probably moving on at Christmas and City don't want to risk an injury.

Perhaps also if Boyata is in our CL squad and might be needed at some stage, even if only off the bench, it makes sense to give him the occasional run out

Re: Nastasic - just what is the problem?

BTW if he had been banned there is no way on planet earth it would have been kept quite.
Not in a million years with the attitude that much of the mediah have towards City.

I like what you did there.

Some of you are vastly underrating him. "Gives away silly fouls" what about Mangala brainlessly taking players out or even Demi who isn't exactly innocent from committing stupid fouls. Nasty is great on the ball, he is a very intelligent defender always reading the danger and is in position before the ball arrives. He isn't the fastest but is certainly faster than Demi and kept up with Ronaldo alright when we played Madrid so thats an unfair criticism aimed at him. I think this is all personal. Something has happened in the background between him and Pellegrini and Pellegrini has basically cut him off from the team.

Personally it leaves a bit of a nasty taste in my mouth the way he has been treated especially after how well he played for us in his first season. He hasn't even been given the chance to prove himself or even given the chance to come off the bench when needed.

This. I'm not one to be overly dramatic but nastasic getting frozen out is really puzzling. I mean all our defenders have had bad moments. Heck even vinny had brain farts. Mangala had really disastrous errors. MD performs relatively stable but he has weaknesses too not to mention the silly foul on messi that got himself sent off I mean how is nasty different? Sure he had that bad moment against Chelsea and MP really hates losing to Mourinho but that was really more on hart's. It just bothers me how we are letting our young defender with great potential go to waste. And this is different with Micah who had continuous problems with injury. This is a shame really

I jus watched the presser, and Pele claims Nasty is injured. Pele is not big on bullshitting, so I'll take him at his word. We can put all the frozen out, on coke bullshit to rest. When healthy, I believe he'll be 4th choice and get some games.

Can't understand. He's been picked and played for Serbia- how can a national team possibly pick a player so severely hurt he can't even play for his club?

There was a rumour(I stress rumour) that he had hobbies akin to jack wilshire's.

It's obvious he's done, and th club have made every effort to distance themselves.

In unrelated news, I hear there's snow due soon.

please elaborate, or a link or a hint. I feel I am leaving under a rock

Edit: Never mind!
I read through the thread and it's been covered in detail.
as far as Ashley Cole's intestine.

Very good, although the fact that only you noticed makes me wonder what your hobbies are ;)

Wahey!

I'm sure the first one who mentioned it was a mod, but it was just a suggestion of what it could be i think.

This fucking this.

Can't understand some people are bloody gullible feeding on rumours.

Hope Nastasic recovers soon and there'll be a better choice for the defence.

Re: Nastasic - just what is the problem?

He's as injured as Sergio is terrible at football.

He played for Serbia on the 11th and 14th of October

He wasn't in our squad at Villa the week before the international break on the 4th, at home to Spurs on the 18th he wasn't in the squad but Boyata was.

Only when there's a "crisis" at CB with question marks over who will start in that position does he mention Nastastic in any presser, all too convenient. I may be wrong but I don't recall any mention of him during previous press conferences when he gave updates on Dzeko, Kolarov and Silva.

He was even in a photograph of training just last week if I remember correctly. So why then would he not get in the squad on previous occasions over Boyata if he was fit and training?

I really do believe it's as simple as upsetting the club by not leaving in the summer.

28th November;

[bigimg]https://d24scnnyou6zi5.cloudfront.net/prvw/2.21594616.jpg[/bigimg]

So he trained on the 28th, 3 days after Bayern when Boyata was on the bench and 2 days before Southampton when Nastasic wasn't in the squad and Pellegrini didn't mention an injury in his pre-match presser.

Re: Nastasic - just what is the problem?

I agree. It was like when Lescott and Richards got 'injured' after criticising Mancini. I don't think Nastasic has been left out for footballing reasons even though I have never been his biggest fan. I thought Derek had a good game last night though.

nastasic

what ever happened to this lad? He was actually good, and young. Is he still with us? Its obvious Pello doesnt fancy him, but I cant beleive he not playing first team football somewhere, when I see some of the other dross centre halves in the league.
