Re: Samir Nasri

Surely Nasri didn't start this game because he has been out injured. All I've heard today is "why didn't Pellegrini start Nasri?" There can be other reason except for Hun not being able to complete the full 90. Massive fan of Nasri and he did make a difference when he came on but not convinced he was ready for a full 90.

Agreed. Having 5 weeks out is not conducive to being thrown in at the deep end at the start, for a match of this magnitude.

Re: Samir Nasri

Impressed when he came on last night. He hasn't put his stamp on big games for us in the past (Real Madrid/Bayern Munich) but last night showed he can be a key player against the big boys

Why on earth would he want to leave?
Chance to play and live in Paris or Monte Carlo, or if Real Madrid come calling perhaps?!

Not many reasons at all to leave us. But there are some.

We should get it sorted out really.

Madrid? He's good but he's not going to be first choice over Ronaldo/Bale/Isco/Di Maria

Maybe not but if clubs know that they can pick Nasri up on the cheap in the summer there will be interested parties. Seems all our contracts are sorted on the quiet nowadays and then announced. This one is worrying me a bit for the simple reason it has 16 months left on it. That is very dangerous territory.

I'm happy to wager one Bluemoon dollar that he'll renew before the World Cup starts :-)

After Aguero's second injury MP said it was a result of playing him for too long before he was read.
He was meaning after the Watford game.

100% correct. I'm amazed that anyone is second-guessing Nasri starting after what happened to Aguero. Let's credit MP for learning his lesson over both Kompany and Aguero. I'll give up Nasri in this CL tie to have him fit for the rest of the season and 100% for the League Cup Final.

Re: Samir Nasri

Made that goal happen today. How many times this year has he committed multiple players, leaving space for Kolorav, Zaba, or someone else on the wing to put it in a cross? He was everywhere today along with Silva. Too bad they had no one up top to work with.
