Re: Samir Nasri

bit inconsistennt BUT his contribution to the team far outweights any negatives

Personally i think he is better when he plays without Silva

Re: Samir Nasri

There was no need to show off how your parents raised you kid .
Thank god his miss against Sunderland didn't comeback to haunt us . Mancini is no mug when he accused him of being inconsistent.
He also scored the equaliser against Sunderland that would allow us to win the PL even with a draw against West Ham.
So what? He should have scored, and he is lucky he did with the state of his attempt. Then he fluffed his lines with what should have been the winner, just like he did with 2 gaping nets against Villa. He's lucky Dzeko was standing where he was for his second goal, or the miss would have been under much greater scrutiny. The guy earns 160k a week for God's sake. He should be more effective. Look what Jovetitc did when he came on the pitch. There are no backward passes from him anyway.

Of course Jovetic passes back. Why? Because he's not an idiot. Only an idiot doesn't see the use in passing backward when there isn't a better option.

I was being facetious, considering how often Nasri passes the ball sideways/backwards. Of course there is a time for it, but not the majority of the time.

No, actually the majority of the time it is the right play. You probe and see what's there and if it isn't right, pull back and start over. The reason we scored four yesterday isn't because we attacked full-force for 90 minutes. We passed back plenty until we identified that their right fullback was pulling himself out of position along with the introduction of Jovetic moving between their two lines of five. Team effort and all our players played their parts to perfection.

I would like to see Jovetic in the team at the expense of Nasri to see how we go. Leave Milner I in there as he adds balance to the midfield.

There's a very, very good reason Milner was the one brought off yesterday. He's a great option against teams that attack us. An excellent option actually. Against the proverbial parked bus, he lacks the tools to get us over the top. Much rather Nasri on the left, Silva on the right, and Jovetic centrally floating between those lines.

I agree, though I'm speaking in terms of playing good teams. Milner offers very little attacking wise, so there is no point in him being on the pitch if all we are doing is attack, as we have players better at that role

Bingo, I was saying this to the lad next to me at half time, he disagreed.
I said bring Jovetic on & we'll open them up down the right.

By 3-0 he was admitting I was correct.

Damn I should be a manager!
