'Once' is an exaggeration, although 'high quality performances' from Nasri have definitely been few and far between - given the expenditure, its hard to argue he's been a good signing.

Watching Silva Toure and Nasri playing the one touch stuff around other teams is a joy to behold, but most on here just concentrate on the negatives and have short memories

Is Nasri a player who can destroy Barca/Bayern/Real home or away? no.
Is Nasri a player who can destroy Chelsea away? no.
Is Nasri a player who can destroy Utd/Spurs/Liverpool (and everyone below) home and away? Yes.

He is worth keeping. Only Silva and Ozil have created more than him over the last few years. He has created more than the current POTY has done this season (and last season - a season he was fit and instrumental in us winning a double) His ball retention is almost certainly 2nd to none in the PL.

For us to kick on onto Barca/Bayern/Real levels tho, he needs to be more of a squad player. Replacing him with someone new but keeping the same squad player (ie. the inferior Navas) won't take us there.

After having been a pivotal part of two title wins I find it easy to argue he's been a good signing. More to come from him next season as well if he stays.

Goals v Chelsea March 2012, and the Capital Cup final always spring to mind. Fantastic memories. I'm sure he still has it and hope he stays injury free.
