What's not to like? He's rich, famous, devilishly good looking, charismatic and (the deal sealer) he's ginger. Win win.

He'd remind you of Scholes in that respect. I can hear the commentator now after the Ginger fuckwit nearly decapitated another victim; "Ah, good old Scholesy. He's never really mastered the art of tackling, hehe". Same with Merlin; he's clumsy, and late, at times when he's tackling. Good that he makes the effort though.

Watch Silva closely; he's a dirty bastard. He gets kicked but he doesn't half give it out too - that really goes unnoticed imo, right dirty bugger on the sly is David! I quite like that about him

I like that about him too. He seems over the last two years to have gotten tired of getting kicked all the time and is giving back as good as he gets. Sometimes a little more so. But he's clever about it.

He's taken the mantle of gaz Baz, he used to take on for the team and side ways his massive arse into anyone breaking on the half way line. Silva does it with sly little hacks. Complete midfielder for me glides round players and can go to the trenches with tackles when needed.
