made some good saves again,stopped us going behind early on and the first thing people do is moan about his kicking out to our midgets lol
 
He's back in the lead for clean sheets this season with 10. Which frankly is amazing with the state our defending was in.
 
Absolutely perfect for us - hope he goes on to break appearance records for us. Very underrated and a great lad.

Alan Oakes played 680 games for us in 17 seasons. Can't see that ever being beaten. Joe is on 322 but could be with us for another decade.

IMO criticising Joe's kicking isn't a criticism that should be aimed at Joe, surely the staff should be aware that up top we are tiny, so instead of asking everyone to move up and have Joe hoof it, someone should be dropping in short and playing it out from the back?

Quite right, his kicking isn't bad at all, it's just average. Sagna offers an outlet a lot, other than he he's relying on the oppositions forwards to drop off the CBs for a short option.

When he plays it out short he often passes it to players who are already under pressure or about to come under pressure.
Yesterday that resulted in Palace winning possession three times in dangerous areas.
And then of course he kicked the ball against a Palace players back and they almost scored from the rebound.

Poor reffing again, as that should have been a free kick to us for obstructing the 'keeper's release of the ball, a la RVP at ours a few seasons back.
