My point is that KDB is quite obviously a better player than Navas, therefore, in doing his professional job, Pellegrini will select him. I would expect any manager to do the same. Sentiment/respect for Navas doesn't play a part; I am saying that you play your strongest team. KDB would be in that in place of Navas every day of the week. £55M price tag is neither here nor there really, but it's a fact which cannot be ignored - you don't leave a £55m player on the bench in preference for a lesser player. Simples!
I think we also need to factor in that Navas has been one of the first team main stays and understands our system completly, the only concern i have with putting KDB in from day one is how long it would take him to adjust.
