Looked ok nothing else for me....some good passing, worked hard but nothing too outstanding (most impressive was his ball retention in a few tight spaces)......definitely more to come (hopefully)
• Comfortable passing with both feet
• Always looking to move the ball forward & quickly
• Great on the counter
• Willing to try a riskier pass that some of our team don't like to go for
• Not scared to have a shot
• Very flexible in his positioning, was on the left, through the middle & on the right
• Work rate was better than I expected, tracked back & made tackles when needed
• Whilst not shown today (as we didn't have many), he has great set pieces which we've badly missed

Sure in terms of extravagance & stats (goals/assists) nothing too crazy today but it was easy to see what he can bring to the team, has the passing ability of Nasri but does it much faster & has the end product that Navas can't seem to provide. Add into that the fact that he's so flexible in his positioning you'd imagine trying to mark Silva Sterling & De Bruyne would be a tough task for most defences.

He did great today without being spectacular, tough place to come on for a debut, especially unexpectedly with Aguero being injured so early. Looking forward to seeing him play this season.

His class shone through from the moment he stepped on the pitch. He has a superb eye for a pass and is going to be a nightmare for opposition defences this season.

Put through a beautiful ball to Navas and also put through the ball for Yaya which almost led to Kelechi getting a second goal.

Excellent debut, Kev. Welcome to City.

With all his attributes including his obvious work rate, ability, level headedness, intelligence and his English being as good as his first language - I see him as a future City captain

He's been likened to Gerrard but I think he's more reminiscent of Beckham. He's faster than Beckham but has an unerring ability to make a quick one touch pass without dwelling on the ball that the opposition find difficult to contain because of it's swiftness. An excellent, promising debut where he performed on the pitch a lot earlier than was expected.

Thanks for talking sense. Such a difficult game to debut in, but even so, you'd have to be quite blind not to already see the class and confidence he provides.

Hmm...it's probably hard to get a clear picture from the radio.
