He drives my crazy but I could picture Pep getting more from him than from Sterling so glad he's staying so we have an alternative.
IMO a cross from the byline is extremely dangerous but once someone is known to do this consistently then you easily get in their way so it losses it's danger. Therefore Navas was frustrating as hell as he was so predictable.
Less dangerous is a cross from further out field (generally) but if a quick winger makes space for their cross before anyone can stop them and you get people on the end of these crosses consistently then they can become just as dangerous as the byline cross.
So imo if Navas could get in sync time-wise with 2 or 3 forward/midfield players we would cause much more dangerous situations than by him working alone getting to the byline. It's still predictable but less easy to cut out.
I hope Pep delivers a simple game. Not tippy tappy around in circles like Pellegrini. I want tippy tappy but direct and where everyone knows what they and others will do. Simples.
