Player Topic: Navas.....

Think navas problem is he gets to the box too quick and finds he has no targets to aim for,if he does get one across who is in the box anyway ?
So probably settles for a corner while we wait for the rest to amble up

Nothing to stop him having a go at scoring

has nothing to do with his average position on the pitch...its what he does (or doesn't do to be more precise) when he is in those positions .......when there he delivers very little.....he won't take defenders on...usually opting to turn back inside and play the bak back either to the edge of the area (where the player receiving the ball is often confronted with at least 6-7 defenders infront of him

or

he hits his cross into the defenders legs

for the amount of possession he gets and opportunities he has he produces very few chances.......
The point I was making was that Bony should have been further forward than Navas - he was selected as a striker not a midfield player.

And he`d be fucking useless at both,Bony.Need to get rid as he`s offering very little.Always been a fan of giving players the time to settle in,but this is now a ridiculous situation and I would be surprised if Pep kept him.Unless he can perform miracles. ;)

Agreed - he's been a huge disappointment and I don't expect to see him in one of our shirts next season.

Yeah he was really good today. Could have cost us badly though if Costa wasn't offside after 10(?) minutes.

Just baffling why he hardly ever tries to beat a man by dribbling past him. Time and again, his aim is to get half a yard of room, then get his cross in. A bit of variety would be nice. On the plus side, when he's in the line up he stretches the opposition back 4, leaving a bit more room in the middle for the likes of Kev and Merlin to do their stuff.
