Problem with Sterling in our system at the moment is he's having to play far too much with his back towards goal. That's not how he plays and its confusing him a little I think. Fingers crossed he improves game after game.

When the player who won his second penalty of the day and your striker argue over who should take it, obviously your wank left back who couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo has to take it.
Hahahaha!!!!!!! Spot on mate. Think sterling should have stood his ground and told kolarov to f*ck off.

Bony had a 4/4 record in 13/14 playing for Swansea. Bearing in mind he needs to keep scoring for confidence and it was a free hit bearing in mind 6 mins were up, he should have taken it. Kolorov shouldn't be taking pens for us.

Sterling made a decent contribution against Norwich , was denied a certain goal by a cheating Norwich player handling the ball, and won the 2nd penalty , a few in the media going over board about MP dropping him today , when in fact he has had a problem with a slight hamstring strain and was probably saving him for the Sevilla game , just wish the lad would try and taken on and beat an oppostion player now and again , we know hes got the ability .

Hi all,

Just a penny for your thoughts, but as a season ticket holder, I believe that navas has a much bigger impact on games than raheem, id go as far as saying i would rather see navas start over him as well. Is this in line with everyone else's views? Thanks. D

Did alright when he came on and made a positive impact.

One thing I'm still not seeing is that quality in the final third though. That final ball, that eye for a pass even.

There was a moment in the game where we broke and he was running down the left, we had numbers over and I think it was Navas and Bony breaking down the right in acres of space, begging for the quick cross field ball in behind. Sterling, somehow, never saw it, dribbled inside, and slowed the game to a standstill, until it all closed out and Norwich got numbers back, and then when fronted up by the defender he played it backwards.

Really fucked me off that.

Really needs to improve that aspect of his game, big time. Really frustrating to watch.

He didn't get much of the ball after coming on, but in the vital moments he won two penalties

Chicago Blue is fucking clueless mate. Not sure why you even bother.
I've forgotten more about playing football than you will ever know, mate. Next you will be telling me you know more about it than Pelle, too?
Hahahahahaha! You the third Chuckle Brother? Wondering why you are so insecure that you feel the need to say dumb shit like that? I couldn't give a fuck what you say, or about what, but when you start talking about football, you might want to be a tad more careful, especially on this particular issue, lest you continue to look like the chump you just made of yourself!

Because he plays on the left, he is used to cutting inside. The pass was outside of his right, or curl it with his left, 10-15 ahead of the two forwards who were open in the middle. As you said, either lacks the confidence to make that pass, or thought he could get more (for himself?) by cutting inside onto his right. As you stated, slowed the play, stopped the momentum of the breakaway, and made him look bad.

However, he earned two penalties in a cameo, so it is hard to say he was not an "impact" sub. I'm hoping that the penalty rotation was Sergio, Yaya and then Kolarov, which is why he took it. If not, then surely this is what the Captain is for? Sterling wanted it, Bony wanted it, Kolarov took it. I doubt he will be taking another, but given Bony's shooting in the game, I'm glad he didn't take it, either! Hell, I'd like to have seen Navas take it! He can't buy a goal, so it might have been nice for him to get one!!!

Navas is everywhere, but he's finishing / final ball isn't great. I like Navas and he does indeed make a big contribution to City.

Raheem is on a different level though. The speed of his feet, and the explosive pace make him a better player and he did it again yesterday.

What it ultimately comes down to is assists and goals, and yet again Sterling delivered. He reminds me of Toure in that respect. You'd go home after a game not thinking Toure had a great game, and then you watch it on TV and realise that in the vital moments it was Toure who played a key role in the goals.
