Player Topic: Raheem Sterling (2015/16)

It's about time we had a player doing well/scoring against his former club, we seem to "kop" for it all the time against us.
Nice early screamer would be very welcome today Reheem lad. .

I think just having him in the team today will be enough. They are gonna be working so hard to nullify him to prove some sort of point that our other players should have tons more space as a result.

I think he will contribute a great deal today. Nothing spectacular—which Liverpool supporters will try to argue means he was a waste of money and "not a mark on Ibe"—but he will improve the team and ensure three points.

Liverpool, starved of world-class talent, is obsessed with it now so don't be surprised if articles are written afterward decrying his impact. It is just the way their supporters and former players cope with their mediocrity.

It'll be interesting to see which set of fans show the more class this evening when former players turn out this evening. Will the Mickeys continue to be the (self proclaimed, backed by their loving media) "best fans in football"?

sterling has to be mature here and realise he could do us a favour elsewhere on the park by drawing lots of attention.

his personal loss and frustration on pitch could be very good for the other outfielders. having said that i'd prefer if he just scored a hattrick and tore them a new one.

I'm sure Raheem knows what to expect today, and the same applies to MP, who will instruct RS - and the other forwards - accordingly.

Interestingly, we could have a lot of action between the two players who swapped clubs in the summer; the two No. 7s, Sterling and Milner.

He is spot on about SWP though - he had his natural ability coached out of him at Chelsea with all the safety first nonsense

That's the eye-gouger for you!

It's more important to him that an attacking player will track back and help the defence than how good he is going forward and the threat he poses to the opposition goal.

Thankfully, what happened to SWP at the Kremlin will not happen to Raheem at City.
