Not sure if it was significant or not, but I noticed that Pellegrini didn't bother to mention him yesterday when listing the injured players in the press conference. As he didn't train (and was clearly injured against Bournemouth) then I think it's safe to assume he won't be involved tonight.

Pellegrini seemed furious with him on Saturday, so I wonder if he's persona non grata at the moment. I'm probably reading too much into it though.

I didn't pick up on that, was there something in particular that happened that gave you that impression Ric?

it was right on the touchline next to MP towards the end of the game i think, he had the ball and either tried a flick or a stupid pass and they won the ball back and broke from it. thats what i remember anyway.

I wouldn't have noticed it normally, but was sat in 125 for the Bournemouth game so could see our bench a bit more clearly.

From what I can recall, not long after Sterling went off (around the 75th minute) Nasri was clearly in some discomfort and was speaking to the physio. I got the impression that he told him has hamstring had gone. The physio then told Pellegrini who was furious, and started shouting and gesticulating. Couldn't tell if his ire was directed at Nasri or the physio though. I assumed that Pellegrini thought he should have been told earlier, so that he could've left Sterling on and taken Nasri off. Still find it odd that Nasri continued regardless, as we were 4-1 up and in no danger of losing the game. It can only have made the injury worse.

thanks for the response, such a shame with Samir in general, could be such a wonderful player if he applied himself properly.

Gutted!! I'm a big Nasri fan an think he would thrive in this current set up at interchanging with our other attack minded players.

On a side note, those leather pants are awful!
