He just needs more time and a few games. Getting bits and pieces here and there will not help him. It will also help Kun to rest a bit and his knee needs to heal properly too after than knock. We all want him him to unleash his full potential, and he needs our support.

Apologies but can you clarify is that the same Edin Dzeko who was an integral part in winning

  1. Premier League: 2011–12, 2013–14
  2. FA Cup: 2010–11
  3. Football League Cup: 2013–14
  4. FA Community Shield: 2012
Well if Bony as you say "has way more in his game than Dzeko"

I look forward to watching us win the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup with our goal machine Bony at the forefront of the team. I bet all the clubs in Europe must be fucking shitting themselves at the thought of it.

Dzeko - 91:15

Bony - Never going to happen

Yes, that's exactly my point. Dzeko was a frustrating waste of space for the most part. He didn't display the strength someone of his size should have, was useless in the air and had the first touch of a one legged Emile Heskey. That being said he scored some very important goals for us and I was very sad to see him leave this summer.

So why is it fucking madness to think that someone who has more technical and aerial ability - as well as strength and pace - is going to make a more meaningful contribution over the course of his career with us?

But, of course, it's not going to happen because you're a pre-takeover fan with enough misplaced self confidence to not only predict the future, but present your preemptive bullshit as fact.

"Dzeko - 91:15
Bony - never"

Wtf is this shit? Are you actually 12 years old? Maybe something like Bleacherreport is more suited to your kind of football talk.

You're a fucking vulture feeding off the poor form of one of the players of the team you allegedly support. You come across as desperate for him to fail and it's just pathetic.

Pipe down and grow up.

Juventus was the first 90mins he'd completed for us, the more he'll play the more he'll adapt and get used to the system etc...Get behind your player rather than slating him because he missed a self created chance.

And if Dzeko was the player to help get us to the next level, wouldn't he still be here?

I am not sure Bony will start any game soon other than Carling Cup and whenever Kun is injured.

Dzeko was a Super sub, hopefully Bony can be super too.

I'm willing to give him a little bit of time to adapt to a new team under new circumstances.
I've already been very impressed with his ability to win the ball in the air and his strength in holding off defenders allowing us to keep possesion.
He's not been fantastic so far, but I'd be more concerned if he'd shown no quality in that time.
Ultimately he'll be judged by many on his goal scoring alone, it's already happening on this board by some of the more impatient fans and I suppose as a forward that's to be expected. As it happens I think the goals will come and there will be one or two with egg on their face after rushing to judge him prematurely.

My personal opinion:
I don't think his style of play, movement and flexibility is in par with our style and level. He was a panic buy and will not succeed with City. Nacho is more suited and I wondered why didn't he start ahead of Bony. Bony wouldn't have scored that goal against CP in a million years, his positioning and striker-runs are rare. He does show moments of brilliance though, like that dummy to keep the ball rolling for Silva. Honestly, Dzeko is so damn frustrating, and I was happy to see him go (As much as I wanted him to succeed), but to compare Bony to Dzeko is a joke. Dzeko, with all his negatives, is a much better natural striker.

Nacho to start ahead of Bony for me, at least he will hassle defense and help with his work rate. Bony is too slow, too passive.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Nacho isn't in the CL squad as we're still restricted on squad size

Do you really mean to tell us that the club are that stupid that they'd panic buy a player that would only be available for two months at the end of that season?
