Ferguson sold Pogba and brought Scholes out of retirement. He kept Rio around long after his use by date. All he was good at was getting rid of players who challenged his ego or authority.couldn't agree more

Keeping Toure is an inspired move IMO and will make it more likely that we will land Pogba.

A clean slate. We have to improve in the Champions League and a fully motivated Yaya is needed.

Chant mambo no. 5:

A little bit of Yaya running through
A little bit of silva making moves
A little bit of pogba on attack ;)
A little bit of fernan staying back
A little bit of isco making space
A little bit of Sergio scoring race
A little bit of manga going in
A little bit of city is who I am ;)

Thank you. Mwah Mwah! ;)

I see he says: "I am looking at next season and I will start working again" which seems to imply that he wasn't working this season?

As long as I see him giving the same commitment that Zaba, David Silva, Kompany, Milner (yes I know he might not be here) et al give then I will support him. But he has to earn my respect again. I've never felt so negative toward a City player as I do to Ya Ya and I hate that feeling. Even when Tevez was going through his meltdown and I was angry with him I still felt that he had given his all once he was on the pitch. Ya Ya I am not convinced about yet.

Sorry.

Only concern is that Pellegrini relies on him too much in the central midfield. I still think Yaya can play a major part in our side and he's still one of the best midfielders around. I think his form is entirely down to him. Poor mentality after winning the ACON and completing his personal wish list for success. The season before last he was fantastic, running games, scoring lots of goals and he really stepped up as the season went on and we chased down Liverpool. I don't think he started last season too badly. Fernandinho's confidence was shot, Fernando was trying to settle and all in all we were just too soft centred. He might not be able to play in a central two but for me, with Lampard now in New York, it's ideal to play him in a free role in that midfield. Finding space, picking up the ball, dictating play and also getting forward and getting goals.
