Say we get Barcelona if we get through to the Champions League semi with everybody fit, how do you get Yaya in the team without ua being completely overrun defensively?
DeBryune. Aguero Silva
Delph. Yaya. Fernandihno
Clichy Otamendi Komps Sagna
Hart

Like that.

Also worked very well against Roma last year. If ive learnt anything from our champions league experience, it's that you have to sacrifice talent for the sake of the team.

Oh I completely agree but Fernando, my dads near enough at retirement age and I'd give him a game before fucking Fernando. Delph, absolutely, he should be starting every week anyway (when fit).

Fair enough, you're definitely right with the 4-3-3 although I'd personally go with Sterling instead of Yaya and move Silva back into the midfield three. Higher energy, far more pace and chances of goals on the counter attack and Silva certainly couldn't be any worse than Yaya defensively if given more responsibility as part of three instead of the No.10 role, at least he could keep going for 90 minutes.

Nonsense.

Silva is better than Yaya in every respect, other than goal scoring. And if De Bruyne is fit, De Bruyne plays. Leaving De Bruyne out is like Madrid leaving Tranny or Bale out.

Football is about scoring goals though mate. I will have to disagree with you here mate, as much as I love David there is imo not one thing he can do that Yaya can't. Yaya is just as technically gifted if not more so than David. He also has as much vision and equally able to conjure up the precise defence splitting pass. As you stated, Yaya also offers goals. Not just goals but big and important goals at crucial times. I don't expect people to agree with me as this is like asking whether to take the Rolls or the Bentley, which is a nice problem to have.

KDB is the future of the club. At present though as in previous times, Yaya is the one who is coming up with the key contributions at the crucial times.

It may even be Raheem that starts from the bench in the big European matches that we will hopefully have coming up and we play the trio of Yaya, KDB and Silva in attacking positions. Yaya needs the shackles taking off him and we should play to his strengths. He should not be left floundering in a two man midfield while inferior players just pass round him.

Unbelievable Jeff, not one thing? Really? Do you want to reconsider that statement?

Yaya is an exquisite footballer. He really does not get the credit he deserves really for the contribution he has made for us. I appreciate his legacy maybe tainted in the eyes of some due to the birthday cake affair, but imo he has been our most important player for a while now.

In regards to the direct comparison with David (who along with Sergio and Yaya are in my lifetime the 3 most important and best City players) I have tried to be pragmatic. David looks silky smooth and glides across the pitch making it look so effortlessly easy while Yaya sometimes looks like he is dying on his feet. If you compare what both are capable of doing with their feet then Yaya wins for me.

Yaya's touch is immaculate, so is his short and long passing. He is just as good as David in tight spots and getting out of trouble. They both have fantastic vision and Yaya is just as good as David in putting the ball through. His pass recently where he put KDB through (I may be wrong here) with the outside of his foot while not even looking was just astounding. Then there is the barnstorming runs, superb goals, free kicks and ability to win a football match on his own, which although David has shown he is capable of doing, he goes not do it on the regular basis of which Yaya seems to step up to the plate.

I appreciate you are not going to agree with me mate. Both players will rightly go on the become modern era legends for us. It comes down to which style you prefer as both are top quality footballers. David has not been one bit of trouble for us and the model professional. Yaya has had his ups and downs but hes been a fantastic player. I just think Yaya has been that little more effective at key times and he has more to his overall game than David does.
